The USCG requires human-powered kayaks to have a PFD/Life Jacket on board, and a wistle. If you're out at night they also require some type of light or headlamp to use in while close to nearby vessels. Motorized kayaks are required to also have OH registration numbers displayed near the bow along with red/green navigation lights and a 360-degree stern light. Feel free to email me at Info@LakeErieKayakFishing.com with any questions or concerns.
There's no additional registration needed for out of state vessels. You'll follow the registration laws for the state you're kayak lives in. Feel free to email me at Info@LakeErieKayakFishing.com with any questions or concerns.
